Split Shot Sinkers for Ice Fishing

If you aren’t using a jig with any weight, and you want your natural bait to become a meal for YOUR meal…then you need some weight to get that bait down in front of the fish. You need some “split-shot” weights. These are typically made of lead and they are pretty cheap. You can get 17 dozen for about $3. They are worth the pennies!

I like the little ones that just keep your bobber at the right height so that your bait presentation seems almost weightless. You can them as small as 1/32 ounce, and they just plain work.
